Schäfer is trying to play on the minds of fans… a sleazy fellow. His refusal to see the Confederations’ Cup as a goal for the Lions is admission alright of his own short-comings. This guy is speaking politics. He refuses to say the Lions we will see at the Confed Cup are Lions « à la Schäfer » but at the same time he says he has things to offer Cameroon football. How much longer does he need? Or is he just being too careful not to confess that the drab and dreary football the Lions have been playing for the past two years is his own handwork? It sounds like this guy is convinced he is talking to fools.
Goal poachers like Milla, Weah, Omam, Van Basten, Müller etc do not come around that often. If Schäfer cannot make a team that clicks out of the gems of Cameroon football, then he is just no coach. period!! By the way, who says that goal scoring is the sole job of forwards?
If Schäfer cannot make a winning team, there are two easy ways out. Either you keep Schäfer and sack the team OR you sack Schäfer and let someone else have a go with the team.
Why does Schäfer think Cameroon should consider ANC 2004 and WC 2006 goals but just go to the Confed Cup for appearance sake?
Akono stated his aim during the Olympics in Australia before the Lions kicked any ball. No one has the right to take any Cameroonian team anywhere to play second fiddle. What have Cameroonians done to have their dignity and only pride to be trampled upon in such a manner?
Football used to be the only thing to divert us from the misery imposed from Etudi , Mvog Meka and villas in Europe ….what do we have left?
trop c’est trop …c’est même laid
Schäfer MUST GO!
