Cameroon striker Herve Tum has joined Turkish side Bursaspor from French club Strasbourg. The 28-year-old signed a two-year contract with the option for a further 12 months.
Tum helped Strasbourg win promotion to Ligue 1 last season with seven goals in 29 games.
« The supporters’ interest in me affected me so much. I hope I can justify it, » Tum said.
He becomes Bursaspor’s second signing this month after former defender Mustafa Sarp.
Tum played for Swiss clubs Sion and Basel as well as French side Metz before joining Strasbourg as the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Mali midfielder Mourtala Diakite has joined the Portuguese side Boavista.
The 26-year-old moves from relegated rivals Beira Mar on a one year contract.
He is the tenth player to be recruited by Boavista in the off season.
Meanwhile, David Eto’o, younger brother of Barcelona and Cameroon striker Samuel, is on trial at Tunisian club Esperance.
The 20-year-old forward, last on the books of Real Mallorca in Spain, arrived last week at the Tunis-based club, who are in the group phase of this year’s African Champions League.
