Lauren admits Arsenal are keen to secure a place in the record books by becoming the first team to win back-to-back Doubles.
With their Champions League dream over, Arsene Wenger’s men have set their sights on winning both the Premiership and FA Cup for the second successive season and Cameroon full-back Lauren said: « We want to make history. »
The former Real Mallorca star hit the third Arsenal goal which clinched a quarter-final triumph in the midweek replay at Chelsea and added: « We are so proud to have been able to prove that there is so much talent still in this squad.
« Nobody can doubt that now – whatever happens in the rest of the season.
« We want to reward the manager’s faith in all of us and a great way to do that would be to achieve what no other team in England has done before.
« There are only seven games to go in the Premiership and just two, hopefully, in the FA Cup which means we are a good way towards doing it but we all know that really that is still a long way to go because every match is a tough test in England. »
