Cameroon midfielder Marc-Vivien Foe is looking to seal a permanent move to Manchester City. Foe, on a season-long loan deal from Lyon, scored his first goal for the club in the 2-0 victory against Sunderland on Monday.
The 27-year-old feels he is beginning to bed in at Maine Road. “I am really enjoying my time here,” he told Manchester City’s official website.
“I am happy and I feel settled and I would like to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
“The best way I can ensure that is by continuing to play as well as I can.
“I admit that City fans have not yet seen the best of me on a consistent basis but I feel I am improving in that respect.
“It is not always easy coming to a new club in a new country especially when international call-ups and suspension have sometimes disrupted things.
“But it was a nice feeling to get off the mark in a game that was important to win.
“With Kevin Horlock in the side on Monday it allowed me to go forward a little bit more and get myself into scoring positions.
“It is always more important that we win the game than that one player scores lots of goals.
“I really should have had one or two more this season by now but I am feeling in good shape.”
City have now won five of their last seven games and feel ready to push for a place in Europe.
Foe said: “We have all had to get to know one another and I think people can see that things are coming together quite well at the moment. We did the job professionally at Sunderland.”
He added: “My main aim is to help Manchester City finish as high up the table as possible and to help the club keep on improving.”
