In 2003 he was appointed head coach of the intermediate lions after the departure of Winfried Schafer but was dismissed in 2010 for lack of results after he failed to qualify Cameroon for the African nation’s championship.
He decided to sell his talent out of the country and in 2011 joined A C Leopard of the republic of Congo and won the cup title that same year which gave them the leeway to participate in the African Confederations Cup.
