PWD Bamenda and others join the fray. The Trojan trio comprised PWD, Caiman and Renaissance, new comers into the elite championship following their victories in interpools 2002. The new comers are often underrated by the old clubs until when the results begin speaking for themselves.
The teams made up of budding talents lack experience for the most part. The zeal and determination within the youngsters are driving forces that can stir upsets. Again, the transfer of some play-makers from famous clubs into the fresh teams is a stabilising trend that may neutralise the imaginative differences that exist between the two generations. If names are any thing to go by, then, PWD and Caiman are old names in fresh garments. But how things change! Apart from the evolution of football within time and space, names become arbitrary as those who bear them. In the manner of Sankie Maimo, let us remind PWD and Caiman that, »…a singing bird does not build its own nest. » By extension if they do not work hard, they will never attain greatness. Renaissance is the newest comer into the premiership. Their desire to rival Canon and Tonnerre are inspiring and may yield dividends. The who is who question will be answered when the championship goes afoot.
