« I’m back in training again for my club, » he confirmed. « The doctor thinks it will only be another week before I can play again, so I will report for training with the Lions on May 9 as planned. »
Wome’s stand-in for Cameroon against Austria, Pierre Njanka Beaka, was particularly impressive at left back, and the Bologna ace acknowledged that he faces stiff competition for his place in the national team.
Bologna coach Francesco Guidolin has told Wome that he is happy to rest the defender for the remaining three league matches in order to give him more chance of making the World Cup.
