Carlos Kameni has returned to Molineux for talks this morning, ahead of a possible move to the club. The Cameroon keeper has now met with chief executive Jez Moxey and manager Dave Jones to discuss joining Wolves on-loan. Last week the club withdrew its interest in signing the 19-year-old over concerns regarding the player’s commitment. However, talks reopened after an approach from the keeper.
Jez says: « Dave and I have met with Carlos and he will be joining the team for training tomorrow.
« We are prepared to give him the chance to prove himself and have arranged for him to undergo a medical today.
« We have applied for a work permit although there is a possibility that he will qualify for a French passport in any event which would negate the need for a work permit. However, we are conscious that the initial work permit application will be difficult to obtain and that an appeal may be necessary.
« So, subject to the medical, obtaining a work permit or a French passport and Carlos demonstrating to the manager that he is worthy of a place in our squad, he could be joining us for a season-long loan. »
