Cameroon midfielder Modeste M’Bami is on the verge of a move to Wolves. The Sedan ace is set to arrive in England on Friday night to undergo a medical after agreeing terms to move to Molineux.
Wolves have beaten off a host of clubs to M’Bami who attracted a great deal of interest following his performances at last month’s Confederations Cup.
The player’s agent Willie McKay revealed that a deal is set to be completed subject to a medical.
« M’Bami has agreed to join, » McKay told Planetfooball. « We are awaiting a visiting visa as he is set to fly over to Wolverhampton tonight.
« All has been agreed and the deal will be tied up after his medical.
« Wolves have got themselves a great signing as he is one of the best midfielders in Europe.
« The Cameroon coach (Winfried Schafer) rates him better that Eric Djemba-Djemba who has just joined Manchester United. »
Should M’Bami complete his move he will become the third new signing for the Premiership new boys following the captures of Nigerian defender Isaac Okoronkwo and Portuguese international Silas.
