Patrick Mboma has been named in the Cameroon squad for their friendly with Austria in Vienna later this month. Mboma missed Cameroon’s last game, a 2-2 draw with Argentina last week, through injury but is hoping to be fit against the Austrians as preparations for the World Cup intensify.
The on-loan Parma striker hobbled out of Sunderland’s defeat at Arsenal on Saturday with a crocked ankle.
But he made sufficient recovery to take his place on the substitutes’ bench in the Black Cats’ vital win over Leicester City two days later, and is set to be fit for Sunday’s game at Leeds.
