The « Canon de Yaoundé » from Cameroon is expected Friday, here, to face, on Saturday, the Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) from Angola, a « group B » match for the last round of the first stage in the 7th Edition of the Cup Winners Club African championship. Speaking to Angop, on Thursday, Augusto Silva, ASA’s director general, said that the Cameroonian delegation will comprise 25 people, the reception and welcoming conditions have been created.
The three officials (referee and linesmen) that will officiate the match are also due to arrive on Friday.
Augusto Silva informed that although ASA no longer has the chance to qualify for the semi-finals the objective is to finish the competition with victory, in order to retain the third position.
To finish this first stage, on Sunday, Esperance de Tunis (Tunisia) will play at home against the USMA from Algeria.
Esperance leads the group with 13 points, followed by USMA with 9 points, and both teams are already through to the semi-finals.
ASA is in the third position with 4 points, followed by Canon de Yaounde with 3.
