Parma will reportedly buy Mallorca forward Samuel Eto’o this summer if they decide to sell Adrian Mutu. The Romanian international has had a wonderful campaign and has been linked with a move to either Juventus or Milan.
Should that occur then the Tardini side have already found his replacement in Eto’o according to a number of Spanish reports.
Parma technical director Arrigo Sacchi and Claudio Prandelli are said to be big fans of the Cameroon star who fits in with the club’s policy of developing youth.
The 22-year-old striker has had an impressive campaign in La Liga which has also alerted the interest of Liverpool – who are willing to offer El Hadji Diouf in exchange.
Eto’o, who appeared in the 2002 World Cup Finals, has been in Spain for four seasons and has so far netted 31 goals.
However, the international won’t come cheap. The two-time African Nations’ Cup winner is tied to Mallorca until 2007 and is valued at around £10m.
