SAMUEL ETO’O has admitted he could leave Mallorca this summer but insists it would only be for one of Europe’s biggest clubs. The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to The Premiership with both Liverpool and Tottenham mooted as possible destinations.
However, the Cameroon international believes he is already playing in the best league in the world.
« I would only leave to go to one of the big European clubs but you have to remember that the Spanish league is the best competition in the world, » stated Eto’o.
The hit-man, who has notched 12 goals this campaign, was recently voted Mallorca’s most popular player by the club’s fans, but claims there is more to his game than just goals.
« Scoring goals is not an obsession for me, setting up goals is also important and I do that a lot. »
The eccentric former Real Madrid star was also quizzed for his opinions on the saga of David Beckham joining Real, and Eto’o commented cheekily: « Beckham is better looking than me, but I am a better footballer on the pitch! »
