The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon kicked off their training Wednesday at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani in preparation for the 27th Africa Nations Cup in Angola.

The Lions who jetted in on Tuesday night are set to be in the country for another four days before flying to Angola where they would kick off their campaign for a fifth title on January 13 against Group D rivals Gabon in Lubango.
Prior to their departure to Angola, Cameroon will play Harambee Stars in an international build-up on Saturday at the Nyayo Stadium.
Assistant coaches Yves Colleu and legendary Thomas Nkono took the team into a morning training in the absence of head coach Frenchman Paul Le Guen who had led five other players including skipper Samuel Eto’o (Inter Milan), Eyong Enoh (Ajax), Jean Makoun (Lyon), Achile Emana (Tolouse) and Mohammadou Idrissou (SC Freiburg) to the launch of a partnership between sports gear manufacturers Puma and United Nations Environment Programme (Unep), towards supporting the 2010 international year of biodiversity.
The morning training, where former skipper Rigobert Song, his nephew Song Bilong of English Premier League giants Arsenal and Newcastle’s Geremy Njitap among others was held behind closed doors.
