Cameroon coach Winfried Schafer has vowed that his side will put their sluggish start against the Republic of Ireland behind them when they face Saudi Arabia. « Although you can’t underestimate any opponent, I’m confident we will get a good result, » he said.
Schafer is likely to field the same line-up that drew with Ireland, although Daniel Ngom Kome could be preferred to Salomon Olembe on the left side of central midfield.
The Saudis, meanwhile, will simply be trying to salvage some pride after Saturday’s humiliation. To make a difficult situation even worse for coach Nasser Al-Johar, captain Sami Al-Jaber is likely to be ruled out with a foot injury.
