Cameroon coach Winfried Schaefer has signed a new contract to keep him with the Indomitable Lions until 2006. He has signed with a week to go until the kick-off of the African Cup Of Nations – a tournament he won with the side last time out.
That victory was achieved only six months after first taking over the side. Cameroon’s football federation, Fecafoot, announced the extension of Schaefer’s contract late on Friday.
Cameroon are trying to make history by winning a third consecutive Nations Cup in Tunisia where the 2004 tournament will be played from January 24 to February 14.
