Real Madrid’s board are considering a radical change of transfer policy. Its understood this week’s Champions League shock has convinced Real directors that the playing squad needs more depth. In the past, Real have been happy to rely on a thin squad, preferring to loan out their fringe players during the season.
But complaints of fatigue from the likes of Roberto Carlos and Zinedine Zidane has convinced the Real board to reconsider their policy.
Two former players high on the list of considerations are Osasuna’s Valdo and Mallorca striker Sammy Eto’o. Real have a purchase option on Valdo, while Eto’o’s registration is shared between the two clubs.
