The three times African footballer of the year who is part of a star studded Cameroonian side that will lock horns with their young Liberian counterparts at the ATS on Sunday in an African Nations cup group five qualifier told reporters at the team’s hotel that « Liberians are wonderful. They are very friendly and loving ». Continuing he stated « I am deeply touched by their passion, and i appreciate them a lot ».

A huge crowd spend hours outside the team’s hotel just to get a glimpse at the players especially Eto’o as he receives an avalanche of gifts from passionate football lovers.
When the team appeared at the ATS on Saturday afternoon for training a large crowd stood outside the stadium after being banned by security personals chanting the names of the players with Eto’o being in the fore.
The players received gifts and signed autographs after training.
In a very big United Nations bus, the four times African Champions are being heavily guarded by UNMIL and National police officers with the Lone Star come lurking at the ATS beginning at 3:00 PM on Sunday.
The visitors are slated to leave the country few hours after the match and reports indicate that a group of Barcelona fans in the country are planning a brief program in Eto’o’s honor.
Earlier during the day a group of Chelsea supporters led by Journalist Michael Weah presented a gown to Geremi Njitap that should be presented to the charismatic manager Jose Mourinho.
The defender cum midfielder ordered the group to print their names on a card that would be presented to Mourinho as well.
At the team’s training session at the ATS which comprised light exercises including some small tactical games, it was noticed that head coach Jules Federic Nyonga and his deputy, former goalie Thomas N’kono did not have the trio of Daniel Ngom Kome,Timothie Atouba and Salomon Olembe.
But were boosted by the return of Modest Mbami, Bill Tchato and Rudolph Douala.
