Eto’o had only just been released from hospital in France
Cameroon star Samuel Eto’o has survived a dramatic car crash on the Spanish island of Majorca. The striker, who plays his club football for Spanish side Barcelona, walked away unhurt from the crash in Palma – which wrecked his sports car.
The vehicle left the road, crashed into barriers and then rolled several times before coming to a standstill in the middle of the road.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident and no-one was injured.
The Spanish radio network Cope has said that the crash happened at 4pm local time on Palma’s ring road.
The striker had just returned to Spain after having treatment in Paris for gastroenteritis.
The treatment meant he missed Cameroon’s 1-1 draw with Sudan in World Cup qualifying on Saturday.
