Samuel Eto’o told reporters he was « feeling fine » alter training today and insisted: « I’ll be fit for the boss if he needs me on Saturday ».
The Cameroon striker was forced to leave his international squad after picking up a stomach bug and then suffered a traffic accident whilst recovering in Mallorca, which he fortunately escaped from unscathed.
He was back at the club on Monday where Doctor Luis Till gave him the all clear to begin training again this morning and Eto’o was clearly pleased with his fitness after a hard workout on the Masia training pitch with Gerard, who joined in with a number of exercises and Valdes, who enjoyed some shooting practice with the pair.
Seirul.lo confident
First team physio Paco Seirul.lo led the session and echoed Eto’o when telling reporters: « he looks okay, though after a week without kicking a ball, he’s bound to be a bit rusty. Give him a couple more days to recover his touch and back to full match fitness ».
