Samuel Eto’o will be back at the club on Monday. After four months of recuperation work, the Cameroonian is about to begin the final stage of his recovery programme.
It was as long ago as September 27, 2006 that Barça fans learned the disturbing news. Samuel Eto’o, the team’s top scorer, injured his right knee in the Champions league game against Werder Bremen. He was given five months to recover, and four have already gone by, and now he finally returns to the team.
Training and press conference
Samuel Eto’o is expected back to the club on Monday although it is not yet clear whether he will be training with the rest of the team or on his own. With the return leg against Alavés on Tuesday night, the Monday training session will be held behind closed doors. Whatever happens, the Barça striker is expected to speak to the press after the session.
