OFFICIALS of the Cameroon national team have declined to play a friendly international against Harambee Stars next week.
The Indomitable Lions are in Nairobi for a one week training camp enroute to Rwanda for a Cup of Nations qualifier.
According to Kenya Football Federation (KFF) secretary general Dan Omino, Cameroon officials insist any friendly against them must be sanctioned by their governement.
« The Cameroon governement must sanction any match that the team takes part in since they are responsible for all aspects of the side, » he said.
However, Omino said the Cameroon team who will have with them the likes of Barcelona striker Samuel Etoo may play an exhibition match amongst themselves to raise funds for a charity of their choice.
« They will have a squad of 24 players and the best would be to have an exhibition tie whose proceedings will go towards a charity of their choice, » he said.
