Cameroon international Serge Branco has signed a one-year contract with German first division side VfB Stuttgart.
The 22-year-old Branco has been on trial with the club since pre-season and has impressed enough to earn a deal with the Bundesliga runners-up.
Branco played under Stuttgart coach Felix Magath when the pair were together at Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2000/01 season.
Branco, who has been in Germany since the age of 15, began his professional career at Eintracht Braunschweig in the third division.
He played to play a key role on the left wing as Cameroon won the gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
Eintracht Frankfurt won the race for his signature after Sydney and the flying left winger made an immediate impact in the Bundesliga.
