Cameroon coach Winfried Schafer plans to take his squad on two separate training expeditions ahead of the World Cup. The Indomitable Lions will spend a week in Denmark before flying to Nakatsue in Japan for ten days.
Schafer hopes his plans help foster unity in his squad as all the players are based in different countries around Europe.
They fly out to Anheim on May 9 to prepare for their friendly against Denmark on May 17 in the Parken Stadium.
Immediately after the game, Cameroon will fly off to Japan to prepare at the Taio Sports Centre , which will remain their base for the first two games of the World Cup.
The intensive schedule aroused concern in Yaounde that the players would not be able to return to the capital for their traditional pre-tournament blessings.
